Colors of the Heart Studio is owned and operated by award winning artist, Betsy Miller. Since 1989, Betsy has devoted her life to sharing her passion for art with children by teaching fine art principles and allowing them to become the artist they were meant to be. Her students work is exhibited annually during the holidays at The Children’s Museum of Houston and her students have received scholarships to prestigious art schools including School of the Arts, Chicago, Savanah College of Art & Design, and UT Graphic Design Program. Former students of Betsy’s have become art teachers and professional artists themselves.

Betsy’s own artwork is part of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum Permanent Collection. A personal goal of bringing art to her community of Friendswood, prompted her to be a founding member of the Friendswood Annual Chalk Walk which raises money for permanent public art displays locally.

“Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself” ~ Betsy Miller

Testimonial

" I used to get in trouble in class for doodling, but my mom put me in her class to explore my love for art. Her classes are so fun and helped me get better.  My art has won many awards and scholarships"
